Arrival in Germany

Well, I made it - overzised bags and all. The bicycle (in a hard plastic case), the skis, and my 30 kilo suitcase all rolled off the belt in Berlin's Tegal airport. I checked in to my office at the Albert Einstein Institute and also my room in the guesthouse. I managed to put my bike togther and rode into town. More about that later. For now, here's a picture of the water meters (one hot, one cold) on the wall in my bathroom. It's a good way to motivate conservation of water - nothing like flushing the toilet and watching the dial spin...
