I went for a haircut Tuesday at Thee Barber Shop, which is located at S 9th and Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma. They are an award-winning, old-style shop and come highly recommended.
As I was early for my appointment (recommended) and it was a nice day, I took a stroll around the block and discovered Fireman's Park, located at the edge of downtown on a shelf which partially covers the end of I-705. This is a wonderful little park, with a nice view over Commencement Bay and several good spots to sit amongst some greenery - a fine place to take a break in the midst of the city.
