Walking around Rügen Island

After our walk through Jasmund National Park, we took a walk through the countryside of Rügen to the village of Lohme. The first interesting sight we walked by was Hertaburg, a Slavic fortification.

From Hertaburg we walked through some really nice woods to the village of Lohme. At this point we were really glad that we hadn't opted for camping...

Lohme is a cute little village on the north coast of the island. Iva really liked this traditional house. We took some time for a very welcome cup of hot tea and then made our way to a bus stop in order to get back to Sassnitz.

Yeah, camping would have been cold, eh? Granted, you two are hardcore. But still.

I'm glad to see you're getting out a fair amount -- in addition to doing plenty of math and such, I'm sure.

Keep on a rockin'.
