Binz

On Easter Sunday we took the bus from Sassnitz to the town of Binz, which is a major tourist spot on Rügen. Binz has a long beach with a nice downtown full of the usual beach-type shops selling ice cream and kites. There are also several nice bakeries (we tried two of them!) and lots of Villa-style hotels.

We rented this Strandkorb for an hour to have lunch in. Notice how bundled up I am - it was below freezing, but the beach was still bustling!
From Binz we took a train back to Berlin.
