Djursholm coastline

Institute Mittag-Leffler is located in Djursholm, a suburb on the northern edge of Stockholm. Once nice thing is that the waterfront is accessible, with walking paths and sidewalks linking a series of parks. Here is the view from a couple different places along the coast.

The landscape reminds me very much of the San Juan Islands, especially the large amount of exposed rocks. I guess this makes sense, as both places were formed by similar glacial processes. Here is a close-up of a typical rock. One can see where the glacier scraped in a direction transverse to the grain of the rock.
