Winter Fun

We took two breaks recently to get out in to the mountains. The first was Presidents Day Weekend, which we spent with the Tacoma gang at a little cabin just outside Mt. Rainier National Park. The weather was a bit rainy, but we had a wonderful time, and even managed to get a short ski in to some lakes near Paradise. Here Iva admires a craggy ridge.
Bill and I enjoy one of the sunbreaks and the view.

We also got away this last weekend to Crystal Mountain, where we met up with my parents for two days of skiing. The first day was gorgeous! Here Iva admires the view of Mt. Rainier.

We were able to see all the Washington volcanos, along with the Stuarts. Fantastic!
We put our crock pot to use and came back to the room to find a wonderful dinner of red beans & rice waiting. Yum!
