Train to Wien

To celebrate Iva's arrival - and the new year - we travelled to Vienna (Wien) for 4 days. We went by train, a 9 hour trip which passed through Prague and Brno in Czech Republic on the way. The Czech Republic had joined the Schengen visa zone on 21 December - it was interesting to travel through three countries and never have our passports checked! (Our tickets, however, we inspected in all three countries.)

Overall, the train was a very pleasant way to travel - the scenery was great and there were a number of interesting people on board. Here's Iva boarding the train in Wien.
