We headed out into the hills for a short ski at the beginning of last weekend, and managed to avoid the crowds! We parked at the east side of the lake at Snoqualmie Pass and headed up the Stampede Pass road. Here is our lunch spot, part way up the pass.
From the top of the pass we continued south and traversed a clearing in order to get a nice view of Mt. Rainier. Here is Iva enjoying the late afternoon light. While we were off the trail, a groomer came by and smoothed out the road for us, which made for a very pleasant and speedy descent back to the car.
